Sydney Shepherd is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in New York City. Sydney grew up in the lil' ol' town of Hickory, North Carolina, where she spent most of her childhood in the woods searching for fairies. In her spare non-fairy-hunting time, she became heavily involved in acting and music, and has remained unabashedly obsessed with creating art ever since.
Sydney promptly booked a role on Broadway as a Standby in the company of First Date just shy of a month after graduating with a BFA in Drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In her short time in New York, she's managed to work on several workshops and performances of new musicals, three feature films, an acting stint in Seattle, and several music projects. She is a classically and rock-n-roll-y trained cellist and is the cellist/singer/co-songwriter of the band Bandits on the Run, whose album "The Criminal Record" was just released and can be found on Spotify, iTunes, and wherever else music is found. She is also a writer and curates the blog "It's A Jellyfish".
